Another weekend = another internet diversion!

This week's time-waster = Boomshine

This flash-based game has 12 levels increasing in difficulty. The task is to set off a chain reaction with bouncing balls in a fixed area. The number of balls increases with each level and the number of balls required for each chain reaction increases accordingly.

This is a highly addictive game - you have been warned!

Oops! One busy weekend later and I one missing weekend diversion post!

During the 1980's many of us were to be found pondering the solution to the Rubik's Cube. Invented in 1974, some 300 million have been sold worldwide and it is said to be the world's best-selling toy.

It's The Weekend - #3 (Fancy Yourself As A Musician?)

Once again we find ourselves at the beginning of another weekend and its time to take our minds off business!

If you fancy yourself as a musician head over to CreateBands.com where you have the opportunity to create your own set of musicians and then get them to play for you. The playing of instruments can be automated or you can use your keyboard to get them to play for you! Backgrounds can be changed, lighting effects added and so on.

It's The Weekend - #2

With the busyness of the Easter weekend I nearly forgot to include the weekly diversion!

Now that the ICC World Cup cricket is in full swing I want to share with you a wonderful Flash-based diversion known as Stick Cricket. This gives the player the chance to play in the Super 8 phase of the World Cup or play in your favourite club colours. You are also able to play in a super-slog fest and see how many 4's and 6's you can put across the boundaries!

The tag-line for this great site is "Hit Out or Get Out!" and this is certainly the aim of the game!

You can set up tournaments, follow live cricket commentary, vote in polls and set up a league competition.

Over time you can follow your progress through a set of fun statistics which will give you a good idea of your general skill level (or lack thereof!).

This is a wonderful way to spend an hour or two over a lazy weekend! Be warned - it is addictive and you have a business to run during the week!
